We all know the old story of the lifetime of most people. Meeting their significant other, spending time with them, finishing school and starting work. And then the story also repeats itself. You get married, you decide to start a family. And this is probably when the troubles start to show up. I don’t mean marriage problems, hopefully you’ll be rid of that forever. But there is a serious financial strain on a newly formed family that just cannot be overlooked. It’s usually the combination of a series of factors instead of a large defining cause.
One of the issues is the fact that younger people don’t get as big a paycheck at the end of the month as someone with more experience. I’m not saying there isn’t grounds for it, I’m just stating the fact. Another problems comes from the fact that when you’re younger, you tend to pay more for pretty much everything. House and car insurance will be higher because you’re younger, no matter what your accident record is. There’s the same issue with loans and mortgage rates: being young is an invite to getting worse rates and be consider a “risk”. So keep that in mind when considering financing options.
