Holiday Savings

This time of year often results in building expenses. No matter how much we’ve tried to cut back through out the year, the holidays are always a time we find it all too easy to over spend. Whether it is the sales and deals you can find in the stores, or buying presents for the whole family, your holiday costs can quickly get out of control. If you want some money saving tips for this holiday season, without losing any of the spirit or fun, consider the following advice.

When it comes to decor, the tree will be by far one of your biggest expenses. Buying a live tree can set you back, and requires maintenance, only to be thrown out after the holidays. A more practical choice is to turn to artificial christmas trees, which can be used year after year, and don’t require any maintenance. Other fresh cuts, such as garland and wreaths can also be replaced with realistic artificial alternatives. You’ll never know the difference, and your wallet will thank you. Also be sure to unplug christmas lights and other electronics to help save on drastic changes in your electricity bills. When shopping, make a list and stick to it, to avoid additional spending.
