Some recipients have experienced rejection of the implant, leading to additional surgery to remove the hip replacement. One man has filed a lawsuit against the company, having received two of these implants. Not long after, he required another surgery to remove one device, leaving him unable to walk while he awaits a replacement. The devices that appear to be functioning, without the flaw, still require the patient to undergo tests and possible revision surgery. All of these costs will be left to the patient, which is why so many lawsuits have surrounded these faulty implants.
